The image presents a narrow, makeshift wooden walkway traversing a heavily polluted waterway in Ibadan, Nigeria
MomentThe image presents a narrow, makeshift wooden walkway traversing a heavily polluted waterway in Ibadan, Nigeria. The walkway is constructed from light-brown, weathered wooden planks laid horizontally, showing dirt accumulation and minor irregularities. On both sides, a dark, murky water channel is entirely choked with a dense collection of solid waste, including numerous clear, black, yellow, and multi-colored plastic bags, various plastic bottles, and miscellaneous discarded debris. The banks supporting the waterway are composed of reddish-brown, disturbed earth, also extensively covered with litter and scattered refuse. In the upper right background, two dark, cylindrical objects, resembling old tire rims or metal containers, are visible on the barren ground. No individuals or animals are present in the scene.
