The image displays the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria, at night
The image displays the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria, at night. The cathedral, a large structure constructed from light-colored stone, dominates the central frame, illuminated by warm white artificial lighting that highlights its architectural details against a dark sky. Its design incorporates multiple green-patinated domes and roof segments, alongside several golden domes and a prominent central golden cupola functioning as a bell tower, each surmounted by an Orthodox cross. The main visible facade includes three arched entrance portals, brightly lit, supported by columns. In the foreground, a wide, open plaza paved with cobblestones extends from the base of the cathedral. Embedded within the cobblestones are multiple small, circular lights emitting a green luminescence. Several human figures are present on this plaza. One individual, dressed in dark clothing, walks centrally in the lower-mid ground, oriented towards the cathedral. Further to the right in the mid-ground, two to three additional dark-clad figures are discernible, either standing or moving slowly across the plaza. Streaks of light, indicative of lens flare, are visible in the upper left and right sections of the dark sky.
