The image displays the partially open, heavily patinated bronze main entrance doors of the Church of St. Nicholas in Perast, Montenegro. The double doors exhibit a prominent blue-green verdigris coloration with darker brown undertones. The left door features a rectangular horizontal brass handle at mid-height and an engraved inscription in the upper half. The inscription, in Cyrillic/Serbo-Croatian, includes phrases such as "SKRIVAJUĆI PERAST" (Hiding Perast), dates "1914-1918 1939-1945," "ISUSU I CRKVI SV. NIKOLE" (To Jesus and the Church of St. Nicholas), "ZAHVALNA BOKA" (Grateful Boka), and the year "1973." Below the inscription, the lower section of the left door contains a bas-relief sculpture depicting a figure bent over a low, brick-like structure. The doors are set within a light-colored stone frame, featuring a fluted pilaster on the left. To the immediate left of the frame, a small, conical evergreen shrub is planted in a round, light-colored stone pot. The exterior wall visible beyond the shrub consists of rough-hewn, light-colored stone blocks. Through the open doors, a dark interior space is visible, with a distinct black and white checkerboard pattern on the tiled floor immediately inside the threshold. A stone step forms the base of the entrance, upon which a few small green weeds are growing. The scene is illuminated by natural light, casting soft shadows.
