A large wooden relief sculpture, identified as "Jorden" (The Earth) by Per Palle Storm, is depicted mounted on an interior wall within the Oslo City Hall (Rådhuset) in Oslo, Norway. The central subject is a full-bodied, standing nude female figure, carved from wood with a natural, aged finish. She faces slightly to the viewer's right, with a robust physique, prominent breasts, and visible genitalia. Her hair is short, textured, and reddish-brown. Both arms are extended horizontally outwards from her sides, with open hands. The female figure is encircled by numerous stylized wooden carvings of flora and fauna. These include large, multi-petaled flowers and broad leaves, colored in shades of red, orange, yellow, green, brown, and dark blue-grey, set against a darker, textured background. Some elements resemble large butterflies or bees. The entire relief is flanked vertically by sections of red brick wall on both the left and right sides. In the foreground, a black metal railing with a thin gold-colored top rail partially obscures the lower portion of the artwork, indicating a multi-level interior viewing position.
