This image is a circular ceiling fresco located in the Rotonde de la galerie des Batailles (Rotunda of the Gallery of Battles) within the Château de Chantilly, Chantilly, France. The fresco depicts a mythological scene in a sky filled with clouds. In the upper right, a nude male figure with reddish-brown hair and blue butterfly-like wings looks upwards and extends his right hand towards a female figure. The female figure, positioned centrally, is partially draped in translucent white and gold fabric, looking downwards with a pensive expression; her left hand is near her face, and her right hand is held by the winged male. Beneath her, a second muscular male figure, nude from the waist up, wears a blue and green cap and light pink drapery around his lower body, with red greaves on his left leg. He carries the female figure, with his right arm around her waist. In his left hand, he holds a caduceus-like staff pointing downwards. In the bottom right corner, a nude putto with small white wings looks upwards, his arms raised. The figures are rendered against a backdrop of light blue sky with scattered white and grey clouds. The fresco is signed "P. BAUDRY - 1885" in the lower center. It is framed by an elaborate architectural border consisting of a wide gilded band with a laurel wreath motif, bordered by thinner gold lines, and an outer sculpted white or light grey frame featuring volutes and acanthus leaves.
