The image shows a section of a wall display in the Museum of Bank Indonesia, located in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the coordinates -6.138, 106.815. The display features a blue and white Indonesian rupiah symbol, surrounded by two green leafy vines. Above the symbol, the text "MUNCULNYA TITIK TERANG" is displayed in bold black, followed by text in a smaller, less bold font. The text reads: "Angin segar bagi bank syariah mulai bertiup pada akhir dasawarsa 80-an. Below the symbol are two rectangular signs. The sign on the left is blue and reads "di keluarkan PAKJUN 83" with a small, curved line drawn below the text. The sign on the right is purple and reads "di keluarkan PAKTO 88". Above these signs is a gold hexagonal seal with a stylized image of a tree and wings with the text "NAGARA DANA RAKYAT". The seal is against a green background with a single leafy vine running down its right side. The text "Hope Began" in bold black lettering is displayed below the seal. The text below "Hope Began" reads: "A good chance for sharia (Islamic) banks began at the end of the 80s decade. The government and BI released two deregulation packages to modernize banking system, i.e. Package of 1 June 1983 (Pakjun 83) and Package of 27 October 1988 (Pakto 88). The Pakjun 83 gave freedom to banks to determine by themselves the interest rates even up to zero percent; and the Pakto 88 allowed founding of new-type banks. However, this deregulation has not been able to remove uncertainties in founding sharia (Islamic) banks. A hope only appeared in 1990, following a meeting between the People’s Consultative Assembly (DPR) and the government which finally affirmed that shuria (Islamic) banks could be founded." The background of the display is a deep blue color, with sections of lighter blue, green, and purple.
