A densely packed section of a dark metal bridge railing in the Petite France district of Strasbourg, France, is observed under an overcast sky. The railing is almost entirely covered with numerous padlocks, predominantly red and heart-shaped. Many of these padlocks bear handwritten inscriptions, including names and dates such as "A.M + P.P", "23/10/2023", and "Joia + Angel". A single silver-colored Master lock is prominently visible near the top-left corner of the frame. Below the railing, a canal with calm water reflects the light. On the opposite bank of the canal, traditional Alsatian timber-framed buildings with white or light-colored walls and dark wooden beams are discernible. A concrete pedestrian pathway runs along the base of the railing on the right, where a coiled black cable, resembling a bicycle lock, rests. Sparse dried leaves and ground debris are scattered at the very base of the railing. No individuals are present in the scene.
