The foreground and midground feature cultivated land with numerous low-lying green plants or plant stumps arranged in rows, growing through black plastic mulch which covers the ground. Patches of green grass and weeds are visible around the plants and between the mulch sheets. In the midground, to the left, are banana plants, and to the right, a slender tree with light green foliage stands. Beyond the cultivated area, a band of dry, light brown vegetation stretches horizontally, followed by a distant line of dark green trees. The horizon reveals faint outlines of mountains or hills obscured by a dense, uniformly grey cloud cover that dominates approximately two-thirds of the upper frame. No individuals or animal life are visible.
