The scene is an open field on a moderate incline in the Lachish Regional Council, Israel. Approximately 20 to 30 sheep with light-colored fleece, interspersed with some darker wool patches, are dispersed across the green grassy slope in the mid-ground and background, actively grazing. Numerous small, bright red flowers are visible among the green grass. Several tall coniferous trees with dark green foliage stand upright on the hillside, extending into the upper portion of the frame. The foreground features exposed light brown soil mixed with sparse green vegetation. The sky is uniformly overcast and light grey. No human figures or man-made structures are present.
