In the background, on a grassy area to the right, are two green pillars with what appear to be plaques on them. One plaque has Arabic script on it, and another plaque is white with green lettering and a green border. A white and blue electrical box is attached to the utility pole. The ground in front of the gate is paved with irregular stone slabs, and the road in front of that is asphalt. Some debris and dry leaves are scattered on the ground and the pavement. The scene appears to be at the entrance to a cemetery or memorial site, possibly the Kuburan Massal Korban Tsunami (Mass Grave Victims of the Tsunami) in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, given the presence of the sign mentioning "Tsunami".
