An indoor wall display in the city of León, Mexico, features an arrangement of photographs, mixed-media artworks, and stretched black strings on a light grey, textured concrete wall
An indoor wall display in the city of León, Mexico, features an arrangement of photographs, mixed-media artworks, and stretched black strings on a light grey, textured concrete wall. The central element is a prominent black and white portrait of a young child, approximately six to eight years old, with light hair, looking directly forward while holding a snake. This portrait is mounted on a rectangular wooden board. Numerous smaller images, predominantly portraits of children with varying expressions and artistic modifications including paint, torn edges, and obscured features, are affixed to the wall around the central image using blue painter's tape. Some images are also mounted on small wooden backings before being taped. Thin black strings radiate from the central child portrait, connecting to several other images and creating a web-like pattern across the display. Additional details include smaller artworks with stylized figures or abstract elements, and text in Spanish on some pieces, such as "ellos, hoy, aqui - manana!" (they, today, here - tomorrow!), "CARA DE NIÑA" (Girl's Face), and "GARA borra -DA" (erased face).
