Stake attention in this memory
A single slug, exhibiting a moist, reflective integument with a base color of dark olive-brown mottled by irregular lighter brown or yellowish longitudinal streaks, is positioned centrally and vertically on a white sheet of lined paper. Its anterior end, featuring two erect, elongated eye stalks topped with small dark ocelli, is directed upwards. A textured mantle is discernible towards the anterior third of its body. The slug's posterior tapers to a point, from which a thin, translucent strand of mucus is visible descending onto the paper. The underlying surface is white paper characterized by uniformly spaced, horizontal dark lines. The scene is illuminated, with light reflecting off the slug's wet surface. This observation occurred in Tangier, Morocco.
