A large, pale, sandy landslide scar dominates the foreground, fanning out from the base of a steep, rocky incline. The scar is heavily eroded, with numerous channels carved into the sediment. Beyond the landslide, dense evergreen forest covers the slopes of rolling mountains. In the upper right portion of the image, a clear, turquoise lake with several small islands is visible, surrounded by more forest. A road winds along the edge of the forest near the lake, and a building with a white roof is situated near the road on the right side of the image. The image appears to have been taken from an aircraft, as a portion of the aircraft's window frame is visible in the lower right corner.
