A male Indian Peafowl (*Pavo cristatus*) is depicted in a full courtship display within the city of Starosel, Bulgaria. The bird's iridescent blue head and neck are visible in the lower right portion of the vertical frame, oriented slightly to the right. Its dorsal plumage, immediately preceding the fanned tail, presents a textured arrangement of bright green and yellow feathers. The fanned train, consisting of numerous elongated contour feathers, occupies the majority of the image.
