The snails are various sizes and colors, mostly dark grey and black, and appear to have been shelled, leaving only the snail meat. Small pieces of red chili pepper and other spices are mixed in with the snails. The broth fills the spaces between the snails and covers part of the right side of the frame. There is a specular highlight on the surface of the liquid in the center of the frame. There is no indication of Kloncing, Indonesia in the scene.
