An outdoor animal enclosure in Pudong, China, is depicted in daylight, featuring a prominent golden Takin (Budorcas taxicolor) in the foreground. The Takin stands centrally, facing directly forward, exhibiting a stout build, a golden-tan coat, and thick, dark, ringed horns curving backward and upward. Behind this Takin, the hindquarters and legs of at least two other Takins, similar in coloration, are partially visible. To the left, a large, mature deciduous tree with pale, mottled bark and a gnarled trunk stands. The lower trunk is encased in a dark wire mesh. Its branches extend into the upper left and central portions of the image, adorned with bright green foliage and numerous hanging, pale green catkins. The ground of the enclosure consists of light gray, dusty soil with sparse patches of dried green vegetation. In the mid-ground, a low wall constructed from light-colored concrete blocks supports a dark wire mesh fence that stretches horizontally, enclosing the animals. Beyond this fence, dense green foliage indicates further vegetation or a shaded area. On the right side of the enclosure, a multi-tiered artificial rock formation, composed of large, irregularly shaped concrete blocks, rises. Stacked black rubber tires are partially integrated into and visible behind this rock structure. A heavy, log-like concrete trough or feeder lies horizontally on the ground near the base of the rocks. The background is dominated by a dense canopy of verdant trees, through which sunlight filters. No human figures or direct interactions between the animals are discernible.
