The image displays a weathered, multi-tiered fortified structure, presumed to be part of the Hue Citadel, located in Phú Xuân Ward, Vietnam. The structure, composed of reddish-brown brick and darker stone, features a large central base with battlements and an elevated central section from which a tall flagpole rises. A red Vietnamese national flag, bearing a yellow five-pointed star, flies from the flagpole and billows to the right. Two dark-colored cannons are visible on the upper rampart section towards the right side of the fortification. In the foreground, a calm moat of dark blue water, containing sparse aquatic vegetation, runs along the base of the fortification. A narrow strip of green grass separates the water from the stone wall. To the far left, a tall light pole with multiple fixtures is visible behind the fortification's wall. The sky above is a clear, light blue. In the distant background on the right, a line of trees is visible. No individuals, discernible actions, or interactions are observed within the scene.
