A weathered light-colored stone memorial stands outdoors, situated in La Wantzenau, France. The primary subject is a large rectangular stele, approximately two meters in height, serving as a monument. Adorning the left side of the stele is a sculpted female figure, rendered in bas-relief with classical-style drapery. She is depicted with her head bowed, her right hand near her face, and her left arm resting on the stele's upper edge, conveying a sorrowful posture. Her bare feet are visible at the monument's base.
