This image displays two juvenile pigeons, referred to as squabs, resting closely together within a nesting structure in a pigeon loft located in Kalipetrovo, Bulgaria. Both squabs are in an intermediate stage of development, characterized by a covering of yellowish-brown down and emerging grey-blue pin feathers across their bodies. Their beaks are dark, and eyes are obscured or closed. The lower squab exhibits visible dark, scaly legs and feet. They are positioned in a circular, grey, textured nesting bowl, which is filled with dry, light brown straw serving as nesting material. A small white feather is visible amongst the straw near the head of the left squab. The background consists of a flat, light brown, textured surface, consistent with a wooden or particle board wall of an indoor enclosure.
