The image captures a winter scene on a mountainous slope near Shipka, Bulgaria. Under an overcast, light grey sky, approximately 50 to 70 individuals are observed on and around a prominent rocky peak in the mid-ground. A large, dark metal Orthodox cross stands erected on the highest point of this rocky formation, slightly left of the image's center. Individuals are seen ascending and descending the jagged, snow-dusted rocks, with some congregating near the cross. A winding dirt trail, partially covered with snow and mud, extends from the foreground, leading up towards the rocky summit and continuing past it to the right. The terrain is characterized by dry, yellowish-brown grass, patches of snow, and exposed rock.
