Stake attention in this memory
This is a photograph taken in the city of Terang-terang, Indonesia, looking down a narrow, man-made canal. The canal has stone-lined banks with a concrete edge on both sides. The water in the canal is dark and appears to have some debris floating in it, as well as murky sediment near the edges. On the left bank, there is a low, textured wall, possibly made of concrete or stucco, with some plant growth at its base. A large, leafy tree overhangs this wall and the canal, casting a shadow on the water. The reflection of the tree and surrounding structures is visible on the water's surface. Beyond the wall and tree, there are some small buildings and fences. On the right bank, the stone lining is more prominent, with some scattered debris, including a white plastic bag, visible on the embankment. Further down the right bank, there are more buildings, some with pitched roofs, and taller structures in the distance. Power lines are visible stretching across the scene. The sky above is clear and blue. The overall impression is of an urban or semi-urban drainage system in a tropical climate.
