The image displays an exhibition case within the Museu Afro Brasil, located in Parque Ibirapuera, São Paulo, Brazil. A large, horizontally oriented glass display case occupies the central and foreground space, illuminated by recessed spotlights in its white ceiling.

Inside the case, eleven sculptures are exhibited. In the front row, eight smaller figures, crafted from various materials and featuring diverse attire and forms, are individually positioned on white rectangular pedestals. These include a bare-chested figure with a straw skirt, a seated figure with a beaded head, a multi-headed figure holding a stringed instrument, and figures in robes or overalls. In the rear of the display, three larger, darker sculptures stand directly on the case floor; one is a tall, crowned figure draped in an elaborately textured garment, flanked by two other robed figures, one of which holds an object.

The interior back wall of the display case features a grid arrangement of approximately thirty small, framed photographic prints or artworks against a dark background, topped by abstract vertical colorful elements. Beyond the display case, the museum environment is visible, characterized by dark blue walls from which abstract, dark metal objects, resembling stars or stylized candelabras, are suspended. The floor is dark, and no individuals are present in the scene.
