The image shows two large, white clam shells on display in a glass case. A label beneath the larger shell identifies it as *Tridacna squamosa*, a species belonging to the family Cardiidae, first described by Lamarck in 1819, and found in the Indo-Pacific region. The shells are textured with layers of ridges and folds, with some tan coloration. The shells are in a museum display, presumably in Arica, Chile.
