In the foreground, a cracked concrete footpath with visible expansion joints runs horizontally across the lower portion of the frame. Patches of dry, straw-colored grass and weeds are present along the edges of the footpath and on the unpaved verge between the path and the properties. Dominating the midground is a large, mature tree with a thick trunk and dense, pendulous green foliage, resembling a weeping willow or a similar species. The tree casts shadows towards the viewer's left. Behind the tree, and partially obscured by its foliage, a light-colored wooden picket fence borders a property.
