A dark gray stone monument depicting two figures stands centrally in a paved plaza in Zlatograd, Bulgaria. The taller, male figure is positioned slightly in front and to the left, wearing traditional clothing including a cap, mustache, and rugged boots, and appears to be holding a rifle or tool across his chest. A smaller, female figure stands behind and to the right of the male, with her left arm across his back, wearing a head covering and traditional attire. Both figures face forward, their expressions unreadable due to the material and distance. At the base of the monument, on its gray stone plinth, are several floral wreaths. The leftmost wreath is vibrant with yellow, orange, pink, and white flowers, adorned with ribbons in the white, green, and red colors of the Bulgarian flag. Adjacent to it, a wreath of predominantly red roses and white flowers is secured with a light purple ribbon. Beyond this, additional urban structures and distant, treeless hills are visible. The plaza floor is paved with light-colored slabs. In the far left background, two indistinct male figures are visible, one wearing a high-visibility yellow jacket, near a blue parking sign.
