Above, a high, vaulted ceiling is visible, elaborately painted with gold leaf, deep red, blue, and green hues, featuring geometric patterns, human figures, putti, and mythological creatures within triangular and rhomboid sections. To the left, a tall, arched window with geometric stained glass panes allows bright light into the space. Below the main fresco, a dark blue frieze features a gold Latin inscription which reads, in part: "AENEAS SILVIUS PICOLOMINEUS NATVS EST PATRE SILVIO MATRE VI CTORIA X VIII OCTOB AN MCCCCC V CORSIANI INFUNDUS GENTILITIS BASILEAM AD CONCILIUM CONTENDENS VI TEMPESTIS IN LYBIAM PROPELLITUR." A small putto sculpture is positioned on a pedestal at the lower right, below the fresco.
