A bracket fungus, also known as a conk, is growing on the bark of a tree. The fungus is light gray to beige in color with a textured surface. It appears to be multi-layered or shelf-like. The tree bark is rough and textured, with some patches of green moss. The background is out of focus, showing more tree bark and the forest floor with fallen leaves and twigs. This image was taken in Mikhaylovka, Russia.
