A single dark brown butterfly, likely of the Satyrinae subfamily, rests stationary on a pale yellow, possibly senescent, broadleaf. The butterfly's closed wings display prominent ocelli: two large ocelli on the forewing, each with concentric rings of dark brown, light brown, and a central white dot, and three smaller, similar ocelli aligned on the hindwing. Its antennae extend forward. The butterfly's immediate environment consists of the pale yellow leaf, which shows some small dark specks, surrounded by numerous dry, brittle, light brown fallen leaves and dry grass blades in the background.
