The plaque is black with white lettering in Russian, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the landing near the village of Karsha of the spacecraft "Vostok" and the first human space flight by Soviet citizen Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. The plaque further identifies the monument as erected by patriots of the city, and initiated by veteran of the Great Patriotic War and retired Colonel, Honorary Citizen of the Tchaikovsky district, Mazunin Dmitry Sergeevich (1924-2012). The surrounding stone appears to be a natural, rough-hewn rock formation. Based on the request for its location in the city of Foki, Russia, it can be inferred that the image was taken there.
