The structure consists of five parallel, weathered wooden logs, each secured with visible metal bands, resting horizontally atop a supporting framework of darker, angular wooden beams that extend into the water. Numerous small, white gulls, approximately 30-40, are perched closely together along the length of these horizontal logs. One gull is captured mid-flight in the upper left portion of the frame, with its wings extended. Another solitary gull floats on the rippled, dark grey-blue water surface in the upper central area. The water exhibits subtle waves and reflections of the submerged wooden elements. The lighting is diffuse, suggesting an overcast environment.
