Blue AreaPakistan

The image displays a framed, horizontal painting, identified as being located in Blue Area, Pakistan, depicting a historical Mughal-era royal procession. The background features a large white marble edifice resembling the Taj Mahal, complete with a central dome, smaller domes, and four minarets, situated behind geometrically arranged green gardens and a treeline. The foreground and midground are dominated by a procession of numerous individuals and animals moving from left to right. Central to the procession is a richly ornamented golden howdah, containing two figures, mounted on an elaborately caparisoned elephant. A second caparisoned elephant is partially visible on the far right. A multitude of male figures are depicted, both mounted on white and light-colored horses and on foot. All individuals are attired in traditional, colorful period garments, including turbans and long coats, in shades of red, blue, green, orange, and brown. Several figures carry staffs, spears, or circular shields. The bottom edge of the painting features a dark, intricate decorative border.
