The image shows a glass display case filled with various seashells and other marine life specimens in a museum. The display case is lit from above and the surface is a clear glass with some items resting on a dark background. The location is a museum in São Paulo, Brazil.

There are numerous seashells displayed, including some large, white shells, several small, brown seashells, and a few large, brown spiral seashells. Two of the larger, brown spiral shells are in focus and dominate the image. A large, clear jar with a white lid is located near the top of the image. It contains a preserved, white octopus. Another, smaller, clear jar contains a white, preserved marine animal. The top left of the image shows a shell, and what appears to be a partially-preserved blue and white, ceramic object. There are other seashells, and several white, ceramic-like objects in the background of the image.

In the lower left corner of the image, the shell of a small, brown snail is partially visible. A white and black card lies on top of some of the items displayed in the case. The card contains text, which is mostly in Portuguese but includes the phrase, "Diversity, Knowing to Preserve". The text discusses the discovery of a new species of snail living in a public space in São Paulo that showed the limitations of our knowledge on diversity. This phrase is also written in English. The card also mentions that Brazil's animal world presents surprises. The text around the "Knowing to Preserve" phrase is also in Portuguese. The entire image is lit from above, casting shadows on the bottom of the display case.
