Two Plains zebras stand beneath sparse trees in a dry, natural area of Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. The zebra on the left stands with its body largely perpendicular to the viewer, its head partially obscured by the second animal. The zebra on the right faces the viewer, its head resting on the back of the left zebra. Both animals exhibit distinct black and white stripes.
