An indoor scene in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria, displays a taxidermied bird of prey mounted on a branch against a vertically paneled wall composed of light brown wood slats and dark gaps
An indoor scene in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria, displays a taxidermied bird of prey mounted on a branch against a vertically paneled wall composed of light brown wood slats and dark gaps. The bird, resembling an eagle or hawk, is positioned in the upper left with outstretched wings, brown and tan plumage, and an open beak. Below the bird, a rectangular shadow box with a dark wooden frame and a gold-colored inner border is affixed to the wooden slat wall. Inside this frame, two antique-style flintlock pistols are displayed against a background of a vintage map, where the partial Cyrillic word "ГАРИЯ" (from "БЪЛГАРИЯ") is legible. The upper pistol is larger, dark-barreled with brass accents, while the lower pistol is smaller and silver-toned with ornate detailing. An irregularly shaped wall section constructed from various light-colored, natural stones is visible on the far left.
