An excavated trench is depicted in an outdoor area in Crauthem, Luxembourg. The trench runs lengthwise from the top to the bottom of the image. Along the left side of the trench, a weathered light green wooden slatted fence stands adjacent to a dark concrete or stone retaining border. The trench itself features an irregular, unpaved dirt floor and exposed earth walls. The soil within the trench and excavated is dark brown, with numerous root systems visible, particularly along the right side where a large mound of displaced earth is present. This mound contains several fragments of wood, including a prominent broken branch with lighter wood exposed, and a long, narrow wooden plank. Scattered concrete or stone blocks are also embedded within the displaced soil. On the trench floor, towards the bottom right, a dark, elongated metallic object, possibly a tool or piece of rebar, rests next to a discarded white cigarette butt with an orange filter. A rectangular concrete slab is partially visible at the bottom right, adjacent to the excavated earth mound. No individuals are present in the scene.
