Two roosters are present in an outdoor scene in Skidzieĺ, Belarus. In the foreground, slightly left of center, a rooster with predominantly brown and reddish-brown plumage, accented by black and iridescent green tail feathers, stands on sparse, yellowish-green grass. Its comb and wattles are bright red. Behind and to the right of this rooster, a second rooster, primarily black with an iridescent blue-green sheen and some white feathers on its wings, is captured mid-action with its wings partially extended. Its comb and wattles are also bright red. This black rooster faces towards the right. The ground consists of dry, patchy grass and visible dirt. In the background, to the right of the black rooster, a large, weathered wooden spool or drum is visible. Bare tree branches or brush are present to the left of the spool. Strong shadows from the subjects and background elements indicate direct sunlight.
