Stake attention in this memory
An outdoor, weathered stone water feature is depicted in Vila Real, Portugal. The central element is a rectangular block of grey granite or similar coarse stone, positioned above a lower, rectangular stone basin. A horizontal crack extends across the front face of the upper block, below a lighter, rectangular plaque that bears an indiscernible relief and partially legible inscription, possibly "XAVIER." The letters "WIEM" are faintly visible below the top edge of the stone, centered beneath the plaque. Two identical, silver-colored spouts protrude from the lower front face of the block, from which continuous streams of clear water flow downward. The water collects in the stone basin, the surface of which is largely covered by green aquatic vegetation or algae. A single, distinct orange leaf floats on the water's surface toward the right side of the basin. Green moss and small plant growth adhere to the base of the upper stone block where it meets the basin. In the background, to the left, a light-colored building wall with a V-shaped angular opening is visible, featuring a climbing vine with dark leaves. Rough-hewn stone steps are present on both sides, receding behind the water feature. No individuals are present in the scene.
