A large, multi-figure white stone sculpture is affixed to the textured light-brown facade of the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Odesa, Ukraine. The central subject is a draped male figure, appearing distraught, with his head tilted upwards and holding a broken lyre in his left hand. A winged male figure, partially draped, is positioned behind and slightly above the central figure, with his right arm around the central figure's shoulder and his left hand extended forward. At the base of the sculpture, to the left, are two smaller, cherubic figures; one wears a headdress resembling feathers or leaves. To the right at the base, a large bird, consistent with a peacock, stands with its wings partially spread, looking towards the central figures. The background features the rusticated stone wall of the building and a portion of an ornate, arched window.
