The image depicts an indoor scene in Ushuaia, Argentina, characterized by a substantial accumulation of refuse, primarily composed of cardboard boxes and wooden crates. The environment is an industrial or commercial space with white-painted concrete block walls and a white ceiling from which exposed pipes (red, orange, grey, yellow), electrical conduits, and a metal cable tray system are suspended. Two incandescent light fixtures provide illumination. In the foreground to the left, two grey, worn concrete steps descend into the frame. The concrete floor throughout the area is discolored, marked, and shows signs of dampness, particularly near the steps and within the refuse pile. A black metal table with a pedestal base stands on the left. Behind the table, some dark electronic equipment or storage units are visible against the wall. The central and right portions of the image are dominated by a large, disordered pile of discarded materials. This pile consists mainly of various flattened and unflattened cardboard boxes, many bearing Spanish text and product labels. Notable examples include a green and blue box labeled "MANZANAS ARGENTINAS Las 2 Arcadas Frutas" (Argentine Apples, The Two Arcades Fruits) and another box with "Veronica Leche" (Veronica Milk). Several wooden fruit crates, some inverted or stacked, are interspersed within the pile, with visible text such as "Don Patun" and "CITRUS AN...". A stack of dark blue/black plastic crates is also visible among the debris. The boxes suggest remnants from product deliveries, likely produce and general goods. In the background, a large white insulated door is visible to the left of a dark, open doorway leading to another unseen area. No individuals or animals are present in the scene, which appears to be a storage area or a designated refuse collection point.
