The image depicts an excavated site in Otulu, Nigeria, under a pale blue, clear sky. The foreground consists of uneven, light brown, muddy terrain with discernible tire tracks and footprints. In the midground, a steep, exposed cut face reveals layers of fractured grey, brown, and reddish-brown rock and soil. At the base of this cut, an elongated pool of dark, standing water is present. Further back and to the right, large piles of loose earth and rubble form a higher mound. A few small, sparse green trees are visible atop the left portion of the exposed cut face. No individuals or active operations are visible.
