KarlukovoBulgaria

The image displays the interior of Prohodna Cave, situated near Karlukovo, Bulgaria. The primary focus is a large, cavernous chamber with a high, arched ceiling made of light-colored rock. Two distinct, elongated, almond-shaped openings penetrate the ceiling, allowing direct natural light to flood into the chamber. These openings, commonly known as the "Eyes of God," appear brightly illuminated against the darker rock. The cave walls are predominantly light beige to off-white, exhibiting a rugged, stratified texture with vertical dark grey and greenish-black mineral streaks, particularly visible on the right wall. In the foreground and midground, the cave floor is uneven, composed of numerous loose rocks, boulders, and patches of damp, dark earth. A discernible path of damp soil and smaller rocks snakes through the center of the foreground. On the left side, a large, rounded rock formation juts out from the wall, displaying similar light beige coloration with areas of dark, potentially wet, mineral staining. No human figures, animals, or man-made objects are visible within the frame. The natural light from the ceiling apertures creates a diffused illumination throughout the chamber, highlighting the geological features while leaving some areas in shadow.
