A human hand, consistent with a medium-dark skin tone, occupies the lower-left frame, cradling a cluster of brightly lit, fuchsia-pink bougainvillea flowers. The flowers exhibit numerous large pink bracts with small white true flowers at their centers, interspersed with green leaves. The background, largely out of focus, reveals dry, light brown ground covered with sparse, withered vegetation, and blurred green foliage and tree trunks under bright sunlight in Juja ward, Kenya.
