This image shows a close-up, overhead view of a mosaic floor. The mosaic depicts a naturalistic scene within an arched frame. In the center, a ram with curled horns stands facing left, its body a mix of tan and orange tesserae, with white accents for its belly and face. A bird with brown and grey feathers is shown in flight above and to the left of the ram. The ram is positioned near a stylized tree with dark brown branches, some of which bear small green leaves. Two small birds, rendered in green and white, perch on a branch to the left of the ram. The lower portion of the mosaic features more of the brown, branching vines with green leaves, as well as two orange, flower-like motifs. The entire mosaic is composed of small, uniform white tesserae, forming the background. The mosaic is inlaid into a polished marble floor. This mosaic is located in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, Italy, in room 71.
