The text on the brass plaque is in Ukrainian, stating: "ТУТ ЖИЛА ДІНА ПРОНЄВА НАР. 1911 ЗАРЕШТОВАНА 29.9.1941 ВБИЛА ПЕРЕХОВУЮЧИСЬ" This translates to: "HERE LIVED DINA PRONIEVA BORN 1911 ARRESTED 29.9.1941 KILLED WHILE HIDING" The Stolperstein commemorates Dina Pronieva, a Jewish woman who was murdered during the Holocaust. Stolpersteine are placed in front of the last known residence of the victim. Kyiv is known to have such memorials. Therefore, this Stolperstein is located in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine.
