The scene is a forested landscape in Cajetina Municipality, Serbia. A prominent, conical evergreen tree with dense green foliage stands slightly left of the image center, approximately 3-4 meters in height. Surrounding and behind the evergreen are numerous deciduous trees with bare branches, forming a dense, leafless canopy that dominates the background. The ground in the foreground and midground is covered by a thick layer of brown fallen leaves, intermingled with patches of dried grasses and exposed soil. The terrain slopes downwards towards the right. A narrow, clear stream, exhibiting light blue-green water, flows from the upper left towards the lower right, passing over and around moss-covered rocks. A small cascade or series of rapids is visible in the stream in the upper left section. A weathered, horizontally oriented wooden railing is partially visible in the lower left corner of the frame. The sky, visible through the bare tree branches, appears uniformly overcast. No human figures or discernible animal life are present.
