A large, spherical Golden Barrel Cactus (*Echinocactus grusonii*) is centrally positioned within a gravel bed in Meknès, Morocco. The cactus exhibits a ribbed, dark green body enveloped by dense, radiating, sharp, yellow-orange spines. Its apex features a lighter, yellowish growth area upon which several small, light gray pebbles rest. The immediate environment consists of irregularly shaped, light brown and off-white gravel. Scattered across this gravel, particularly in the upper left, are dried, yellowish-brown leaves. Minor green plant sprouts are visible intermittently among the stones. A light gray concrete or stone border is present along the upper edge of the frame, suggesting an adjacent pathway or raised area.
