A sign in front of a gray brick wall in Beijing, China, located at latitude 40.004 and longitude 116.201, describes the "Zhiguangchonglang Memorial Archway." It is located at the southern end of an ancient cypress path of the Shifangjue Temple. The sign explains that the front side of the archway was inscribed with the Chinese characters "Zhi Guang Chong Lang" meaning "The wisdom light of the founder of Buddhism" and that the back side was inscribed with the Chinese characters of Miao Jue Hong Xuan. The sign states that the present archway is an imitation of the original structure, which was demolished around 1949. It is 12.5 meters high and 15 meters wide. Four pillars rise highly to the sky, and three gates with single-cove roofs stand side by side.
