The central subject is a single flower with a pale green to yellowish, deteriorating spathe exhibiting visible venation and minor brown discoloration along its edges. Inside the spathe, the spadix is visible, with its upper portion consisting of a dark brown, textured, clustered structure, and a segment below it appearing white. A small accumulation of a white, possibly liquid or particulate, substance is present at the base of the spathe, adjacent to the white spadix segment. The flower stalk is green. Surrounding the decaying flower are numerous large, dark green leaves, some showing prominent venation and scattered white spots or splatters on their surfaces. In the background, other plant foliage is partially visible, including leaves with distinct lighter green circular patterns. The scene is illuminated by diffused light.
