An adult Red-eared Slider turtle (Trachemys scripta elegans) is observed held in a human hand in Ketowan, Indonesia. The turtle's dark grey carapace, exhibiting subtle lighter streaking and a wet sheen, occupies the central frame. Its head, featuring prominent red post-orbital patches and distinct green and yellow striped patterns, is fully extended from the shell, as are its visibly patterned forelimbs. The turtle's yellow plastron is visible at its ventral aspect. A human hand, with medium brown skin and visible skin texture, supports the turtle from beneath. The background consists of an out-of-focus, mottled grey surface, consistent with a floor, with a blurred lighter horizontal line in the upper portion, suggesting a wall or baseboard.
