In Novo Selo, Bulgaria, two dogs are positioned on dry, uneven ground covered with a mix of light brown dormant grass, some green blades, and scattered fallen leaves. The dog in the foreground, primarily white with irregular brown-orange patches on its head, ears, and flank, is facing right with its head lowered and snout near the ground, appearing to sniff. Its body is slightly hunched. Behind it, partially obscured, is a second dog, primarily brown-orange with white markings on its back and hindquarters. This dog also has its head lowered, actively sniffing the ground directly in front of it. Both animals are medium-sized with short to medium fur.
